iLogos Dev partners with an International Game Publisher to develop a Web-based Game.
101XP is a major publisher of free-to-play games for prominent Russian and international gaming platforms including social networks VKontakte, Facebook, Odnoklassniki [Russian for Classmates], My World, and Nasza Klasa [Polish for Our Class] as well as iOS and Android. The company also operates its own gaming platform, 101XP. The 101XP.com gaming portal is available in English, Russian, and Polish.
101XP was looking for a reliable partner for developing a web-based game to launch on the VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and My World social networking platforms. The game, Drive, was a free-to-play racing game based on the runner genre.
Our client looked for inspiration to the incredibly popular games Cha-Cha-Cha Racing and CSR Racing. Their goal was to blend the gameplay of Cha-Cha-Cha Racing with the monetization mechanics of CSR Racing. Since Cha-Cha-Cha Racing was originally created for players in the Asian region, however, it was essential to adapt the gameplay for the EU and CIS markets.
To deliver the solution, we used the world’s favorite game engine – Unity. We took advantage of its cross-platform compatibility, great graphics, and overall high performance.
To adapt gameplay for the EU and CIS regions, we called on some of the most experienced 3D designers to create more realistic car models and more detailed environments.
After six months of development, we launched Drive on VKontakte. Since the game went out to a wide audience, we were able to gather a lot of user feedback. On the basis of this feedback, we finalized Drive for Vkontakte and adapted it for Odnoklassniki and My World.
We provided people in the EU and CIS regions with a game featuring Asian-style gameplay. Drive is the only game of its kind on VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and My World.
Our client, 101XP, got an app developed with Unity, which makes it possible to port the game to mobile phones, game consoles, and PCs in the future.
